Sr Bridget Kator belongs to the Institute of the Sisters of Mary Mother of the Church, she had her Temporary Profession of Vows in August 2023.

Sr. Maria Gabriella Nada Nadine Yankey, HDR, is a member of the Handmaids of the Divine Redeemer (HDR) of Accra.

She took her first vow of profession on April 12, 2018. She is currently a student offering Development Communication at African University College of Communication.

She is an Administrative Secretary in the office of the Bishop of Sekondi-Takoradi Diocese.

Sr. Yankey is interested in teaching children, listening to music, reading and travelling.

 

Profile of Sr. Sheila Aselwine Adombire, HHCJ

Sr. Sheila Aselwine Adombire, HHCJ a member of the Congregation of the Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus, has dedicated her life to education and spiritual guidance.

Her teaching career spans across Ancilla Montessori Catholic School in Kumasi and Ancilla Catholic School in Wa, where she also served as a store keeper and religious coordinator. Currently, she holds the role of Procurator at the Pre-Novitiate Formation House of the Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus and serves as the Congregation’s Communicator.

As a temporarily professed sister, Sr. Sheila finds joy in imparting knowledge and inspiring others to excel. She has led several workshops, effectively engaging diverse groups of people and sharing her expertise with enthusiasm, clarity and passion. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading, writing articles, exploring new places through travel and staying active through sports.

Profile of Sr. Marian-Hagar Griffioen Dadzie, SIJ

Sr. Marian-Hagar Griffioen Dadzie, SIJ belongs to the Society of the Infant Jesus. She lives in Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana.

She works with the Cardinal Foundation for Distance Learning (CAFDIL) and CAFDIL TV.

She also works as a Public Relations Practitioner and Television Host.

She has been in this profession for close to three years.

Her area of interest is Media Communication (Filming, documentary writing and Newspaper reporting). She loves making road trips and tours, as well as singing.

Profile of Sr. Catherine Landjekpo, NDE

Sr. Catherine Landjekpo belongs to the Institute of Sister’s of Notre Dame de l’Eglise(NDE) in Togo. She made her first profession of vows on 20th August, 2011and perpetual vows on 22nd August, 2019.

Sr. Catherine is a teacher and accountant and holds Certificates in Basic Education and Finance.

Currently, she is a bursar at the Morning Star Day Care School in Damongo, Savannah Region.

She is reliable, responsible and hard working. She is dedicated and committed to her undertakings and has a good relationship with people.

Her hobbies include: listening to music, traveling, photography and football.

Profile of Sr. Juliana Atuuna, SMI

Sr. Juliana Atuuna is a professional teacher with a second degree in educational management and administration from the University of Education, Winneba since 2018.  She is currently teaching at Bole SHS, in the Savannah Region. She holds the office of Guidance and Counselling at the school and teaches Religious Studies as well as Social Studies.

  • She is a final professed sister belonging to the congregation of the Sisters of Mary Immaculate (SMI). She is currently the vocation directress of her congregation, the community Superior of Martyrs of Uganda Parish, Bole and a sister communicator for her congregation.

She likes singing reading, dancing, writing and making friends. She likes to work under presure and will always keep herself busy with the slogan that (as long as I have the energy and  good health l will not sit idle).

Profile of Sr. Gloria Duongnaa, SMI

Sr. Gloria Duongnaa, she belongs to the Sisters of Mary Immaculate Congregation (SMI), a final professed sister. She is from Upper West Region, Ghana. 

She is reliable, responsible and hard working.  Ability to work under stress. She is the quiet type.  Sr. Gloria is dedicated and committed to her undertakings and have a good interpersonal relationship.

She obtained Diploma Certificate in Information and Communication Technology.  After her first profession, she taught ICT in St. Ann’s Vocational Institute, Nandom for two years and was transferred to Wa to manage the SMI Media Centre.  She is currently still working there, serving the needs of the Congregation and the general public at large.

Sr. Alberta Rabbles, HDR is a member of the Handmaids of the Divine Redeemer (HDR) of Accra.

She entered the formation house in 2007 and took her first vows on 25th March, 2011.

On 25th March, 2019, she took her final vows.

Currently, she is working as an Administrative Secretary at the office of the Archbishop of Accra Archdiocese, Ghana, and a member of the Handmaids of the Divine Redeemer Communication and Editorial team.

She is also a level 300 Communication student at the African University College of Communication in Accra.

She is studying Development Communication. She loves to read and sing, and also have passion for communication.

Profile of Sr. Esther Kutie, SVI

Sr. Esther Kutie, SVI belongs to the Congregation of the Sisters of the Incarnate word(SVI), a Diocesan Congregation founded by the Bishop of the Sunyani Diocese in the Bono Region of Ghana.

She is temporarily professed. She has worked as a nursery classroom teacher at St. James Academy for one year and served as the General Bursar for her congregation at the same time and period upon taking her first vows in October 2022.

Sr. Esther is currently pursuing Dispensing Technology course at the Sunyani Technical University.

She works as the Sr. Communicator for her Congregation.

As a very committed and hard working Sister Communicator she has written and published stories on the news portal of Newswatchgh.com, a Ghanaian owned Online media.

Profile of Sr. Georgina Inkum, FST

Sr. Georgina Inkum hails from Abandzi in the Central Region of Ghana.

She is a Catholic Religious who is perpetually professed in the institute of the Daughters of the Most Holy Trinity (FST) also known as FST, the Latin abbreviation.

Sr. Georgina Inkum is a teacher by profession and teaches at Martyrs of Uganda R/C JHS in Kumasi.

She enjoys listening to good music, reading for information and watching educative movies.

She is amiable, approachable, easy going, hardworking and ready to learn new skills.

As a member of the Sister Communicators renders her the avenue to explore more in enabling me to contribute my quota to the development and growth of the religious life in Ghana and the world at large.

Profile of Sr. Patricia Akoto, FST

I am Sr. Patricia Akoto and  a member of the Daughters of the Most Holy Trinity (FST Sisters) in Ghana. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Education (Bed.) with specialty in English, from the Catholic university of Ghana.

Currently, I am a teacher at Holy name of Jesus school, Abakomadi-Kumasi. My desire in the teaching field is motivated by my daily encounter with pupils, being able to help them. My impact is not limited to academics but one including, humane and spiritual reforms.

I am hardly discouraged as I persist in my intellectual pursuit. I am an achiever. I am a good and pleasant team player. I have a unique personal characteristic with a good interpersonal relationship.

I have a special interest in Media Communication mostly in the areas of interviewing and photography.

I am well composed and cheerful always. I strongly uphold “The Golden Rule” from Matthew 7: 12,  “do to others what you would have them do to you”, this has been my guide and inspiration.

Profile of Sr. Rebecca Asante, SVI

Sr. Rebecca Asante is a member of the Sisters of the Incarnate Word (SVI), a diocesan congregation that was established in the Bono region of Ghana by the Catholic Bishop Most Rev. Mathew K. Gyamfi of the Sunyani Diocese.


She presently works as a school bursar at the same school where she was formerly a teacher at St. Anthony of Padua Preparatory and JHS School at Nkrankwanta in the Dormaa West District of the Bono Region. Sr. Rebecca is presently studying online for her degree in business administration at Rosemont College in the United States of America. She serves as her congregation’s Sister Communicator.


Sr. Rebecca is as passionate about her work as she is about herself. She has a zeal and commitment to her work. Along with taking quality pictures and videos, she like to watch movies and listen to music. She adore creating crafts and drumming.

Profile of Sr. Michelle Ankrah, SSL

Sr. Michelle Ankrah is a dedicated Sister of St. Louis with broad experience in the field of counselling and education. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a Master’s degree in Guidance and Counselling from the University of Education, Winneba. As a licensed Professional Counsellor under the Ghana Psychological Council, Sr. Michelle has been practising for four years, bringing her expertise and compassionate approach to her clients.

Currently, Sr. Michelle serves at the St. Louis College of Education, where she provides all-inclusive student counselling services. In addition to her individual and group counselling sessions, she is an active facilitator of workshops and seminars, delivering insightful talks that foster personal growth and self-awareness. Her commitment to continuous learning and development is evident in her biweekly one-hour virtual seminars, where she addresses various topics designed to help individuals gain a deeper understanding of themselves.

In addition to her counselling and educational roles, Sr. Michelle is trained in photography and has a great passion for capturing moments and creating lasting memories for people. This artistic pursuit is another significant contribution she makes to the lives of those around her, blending her creative talents with her dedication to service.

Profile of Sr. Joan Dzifa Bosro, SSL

Sr. Joan Dzifa Bosro is a dedicated young religious who belongs to the Congregation of the Institute of the Sisters of St Louis.

She is a professional teacher who graduated from the University of Education, Winneba with a Bachelor of Education, French.

Currently, Sr. Joan works in Oku, one of the remote areas in Afram Plains North in the Sekyere Central District of the Ashanti Region, as the Headmistress of Oku R/C Basic School.

She is very passionate and delivered to her work. She is responsible, collaborative and make a good team.

As a religious and a teacher, she finds joy in making positive impart and inspiring others to succeed, especially the youth.

Beside School work, her passion for children and youth fuel her desire to help form and train the members of the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO), to be responsible young adult, since they are the future of the church’.

Due to her interest in communication and its related programs, she is a member of the communication team of her congregation, a job she does with much dedication and commitment. She has undergone series of workshops in communication to enhance her knowledge in this field.

Profile of Sr. Agnes Mercy Mawuvi Nyatsoe, SMMC

Sr. Agnes Mercy Mawuvi Nyatsoe, SMMC hails from Afife in the Volta Region of Ghana. She is a Catholic Nun, belonging to the Institute of Sisters of Mary Mother of the Church (SMMC) of Ho Diocese, Ghana. She made her First Profession of  Vows in 2009 and her Perpetual Vows in 2019.

Sr. Agnes had First Degree in Education in 2019 at the University of Education, Winneba. She had Diploma in Basic Education at Akatsi College of Education in 2014.  Her SSS Certificate was obtained in 1999 and Basic Education Certificate in 1996.

As a Professional Teacher, she taught English Language and Religious and Moral Education at Donkorkrom -Kwaekese St. Theresa’s JHS in Afram Plains of Eastern Region, from 2014 to 2017 before pursuing further Studies. She was transferred to OLA RC Convent Girls Basic School, Keta in 2019. She is currently teaching there and doubled as the Housemistress of OLA Boarding House-Keta.

Sr. Agnes worked with a Company in Togo-Lome, in loading goods from Togo Port and distributing to Custome rs in Lome- Asigame from 1999 to 2001. She taught as a pupil teacher at Agorve L/A Primary School in the Volta Region  of Ghana 2001 to 2002, Liberty Preparatory School, Israel -Alhaji in the Greater Accra Region from 2002 to 2003 and Tefle Covenant Preparatory School in the Volta Region from 2004 to 2005. She worked in a Communication Centre at Akweteman, Accra from 2003 to 2004 and from 2005 to 2006 before starting her journey into the Religious Life.

Sr. Agnes is sociable, friendly and work- loving person, who does not like idleness. Her hobbies are singing, reading and sewing and gardening.

Profile of Sr. Francisca Yaa Konadu Yiadom, SIJ

Sr. Francisca Yaa Konadu Yiadom is a member of the Society of the Infant Jesus(SIJ), a Diocesan Congregation founded by the late Archbishop John Kojo Amissah in the Archdiocese of Cape Coast.

She is a dedicated English teacher with a strong academic background and extensive teaching experience.

She holds a Bachelor of Education in English from the Catholic University of Ghana and has taught at both St. Augustine’s College and Mankessim Senior High Technical School. At these institutions, she has facilitated the teaching of the English language, assessed and evaluated students, and assisted in counselling and preparing final-year students for exams.

Her passion for education is evident in her commitment to creating a supportive learning environment tailored to individual needs, and her belief in the unique potential of each student. She emphasizes hands-on learning activities, student choices, and providing a safe practice environment to help students realize their full potential.

My name Sr. Gifty Anastasia Blewu, SMMC,  a dedicated and passionate individual with a strong commitment to serving God in his Church.  I belong to the Institute of the Sisters of Mary Mother of the Church(SMMC), Ho Diocese. A devoted religious sister and educator with a passion for empowering others through education and faith. By the grace of God, I am a Perpetually professed member of SMMC for 15 years. I have a desire in the teaching ministry of the Church and have taught in the kindergarten, primary and senior high school. I enjoy rural apostolates and outreaches.

With over 10 years of experience in education and religious service, I have developed expertise in teaching, leadership, and community building. My warm smile, compassionate heart, and dedication to service make me an outstanding figure in my community.With 7 years of experience, I have developed expertise in English Language and Literature -in -English as specialty.

Profile of Sr. Emmanuella N. Dakurah, HHCJ.

Emmanuella Dakurah, is a religious teacher and communicator. She belongs to the Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus (HHCJ). She is from Upper West Region of Ghana.
She is a graduate teacher of English by profession and currently a graduating candidate of MPhil in Educational Administration and Management at the Catholic University of Ghana.

Currently, she teaches English in one of the HHCJ private schools at Nsoatre in the Bono Region of Ghana and doubles as a sister communicator for her Congregation in Ghana Province. Sr. Emmanuella is a finally professed member of her congregation with 11year experience as a professed sister.
She has been a school coordinator for African Sisters Education Collaborative (ASEC), Course Rep in her M.Phil. program, she has preached retreat for aspirants aspiring into her congregation, worked at the Secretariat of her province during Provincial Chapter. She has also been a coordinator at Sacred Heart Senior High School (SAHESS) for the debating club, Lectors and patroness for Legion of Mary at SAHESS.

Profile of Sr. Sylvie Lum Cho, MSHR

Sr. Sylvie Lum Cho is a member of the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary (MSHR), an international Congregation of Catholic Religious Sisters founded on 7th March, 1924 in Ireland by Bishop Joseph Ignatius Shanahan, CSSp.

She is a native of Akum, in the North West Region of Cameroon in Central Africa, but presently working in Ghana.

Sr. Sylvie acquired her First School Leaving Certificate at St. Julius Primary School, Akum, in the year 2001, her General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level at Government Secondary School Akum, in 2006, and GCE Advanced level in the same school in 2008.

She began her Religious Formation in 2008 and did her First Profession on 19th October, 2013 in Enugu, Nigeria. From there, she returned to her country of origin where she worked at the Catholic University Institute of Buea, in the South West Region of Cameroon from 2014-2016 in the following capacities: Campus Minister, Student Government Association (STUGA) facilitator, and Volunteerism Network Program Coordinator.

She then undertook a three-year undergraduate course in Curriculum Studies and Teaching, English (CST/English) at the University of Buea, and graduated with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in CST/English in 2018.

From 2018-2020, she served as Vice principal and Acting Principal as well as an English teacher at Holy Rosary Integrated Comprehensive Technical College Bamendankwe, Cameroon.

Prior to her Perpetual Vows, she did a No-Award Undergraduate Course in Spirituality and Religious Formation /Theology at Tangaza University College, Eastern Africa from 2020-2021, and returned to Cameroon for her Perpetual Vows on 29th September, 2021. She was then assigned to Ghana where she has been serving till date.

Sr. Sylvie lives and works in the Apostolic Vicariate of Donkorkrom where her community is. Presently, she is the Vocation Directress for the MSHR, and also the Communication Officer for her Congregation in Ghana. She participated in a Media and Communications Training organized by the Conference of Major Superiors of Religious in Ghana (CMSR-Gh) and the Conrad-Hilton Foundation, in partnership with Global Newswatch, Ghana, in December, 2022 and 6th-14th May, 2024 at Accra and Kumasi respectively, and also represented the Apostolic Vicariate of Donkorkrom at a News Reporting Workshop organized by the Catholic Standard National Newspaper in Accra, Ghana from 8th-12th March, 2024. She assists in Holy Rosary School, Donkorkrom, and is also the Coordinator of the Department of Social Communication (DEPSOCOM), of the Donkorkrom Apostolic Vicariate.

Sr. Sylvie has a good command of both written and spoken English. She is also an average French speaker and writer. She is a lively and open-minded person, who demonstrates skills in Basic Computer and Media Technology Operations, as well as story-writing.

For her hobbies, Sr. Sylvie enjoys singing, listening to music and dancing, writing, the company of children / young people, crocheting and conversing, especially with people who are well informed.

Profile of Sr. Judith Pierina A. Segla, NDE

Sr. Judith Pierina A. Segla is devoted and placid Catholic Nun, who began her spiritual journey with the Sisters of Notre Dame de l’Eglise (NDE) in 1990 when she was admitted to the pre-novitiate.

Known for her calm demeanor and realistic outlook on life, she has dedicated herself to religious education and pastoral ministry.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree with first-class honours in Religious Studies & Education and a Diploma in Education, both from the Catholic University of Ghana, Fiapre Sunyani in August 2010.

She further advanced her education by obtaining a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Cape Coast in 2016.

Throughout her teaching career, Sr. Judith has been committed to continuous learning and professional development.

She taught for some years before opting for office work. She has earned certificates in Alternative Dispute Resolution (2013), Faith & Praxis: Leadership Skills (2014), Computer Technology (2016), and Finance 1 and 2 (2018).

Since December 2022, she has been undergoing training in Media Communication Skills to become a Sister Communicator.

To enhance her career and the teaching of the Catholic Faith, she completed five courses with the Virtual Learning Community For Faith Formation (VLCFF) of Dayton University and was awarded certificates for the following:

Sr. Judith serves as the Religious Education Coordinator at the National Catholic Secretariat, where she works in the Departments of Pastoral Ministry and Evangelization since 2012.

Her role involves coordinating religious education programmes, facilitating training workshops, and promoting faith-based initiatives within the Catholic community.

Her philosophy of life is, “Believe you can and you’re halfway there” (Theodore Roosevelt).

A simple soul, grateful to God and humanity, she loves sports, singing, reading, writing, watching documentaries, and cooking.

For her, good grades are praiseworthy, but technical know-how makes the difference.
