Proclaiming the word in a digital world

As we join the global community in celebrating the 60th World Communications Day, we are reminded that our call to connect is deeper than ever. Not long ago, sharing a message meant gathering under a tree to talk, but today, the “village square” is found inside the phones in our pockets. In honor of this anniversary, we recognize that communication is no longer just a technical job; it is the heartbeat of how we spread the Gospel.

We are meeting people where they are, ensuring that the Word is present on the very screens where the world seeks meaning. On this new digital continent, we are called to access online spaces with the same devotion and care as any physical mission.

Digital communication allows us to transcend geography, turning a small gathering into a global testimony that reflects the love of Christ. At its core, this work is about being a witness. Sister Communicators teach us that every post should be a gesture of accompaniment, walking alongside the weary and the searching. When we get the details right and speak clearly, we ensure the work of the Gospel is never forgotten.

In a world that is often loud and distracting, the quality of our voice and writing matters. On this 60th anniversary, we are challenged to ensure that technology serves the human person, keeping our faces and voices real and sincere. Every flyer we design, every report we file should be done passionately reflecting the gentle yet firm spirit of a Consecrated Communicator.

We do not need complicated words to get attention; instead, we aim for excellence because the message of the Gospel deserves our very best.

The tools we use, our phones, our cameras and other gadgets are simply the modern ways we reach out to one another. Like the sisters who have pioneered this path, we see communication ministry as the bridge between a timeless truth and a person searching for it today. This digital work is not a distraction , but an assignment to make the Gospel felt deeply by every heart.
