Sr. Mary Paulina Prah of the Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus (HHCJ), marked her 70th birthday with Mass on February 3, 2025 at the pre-novitiate community of the HHCJ at Obuasi.
She was professed on the 19th of August 19, 1984, and is 41 years in religious life.
Sr. Prah is a professional Nurse/ Midwife and Public Health Nurse.
She retired when she was 60 years ten years ago and had since been helping with the formation of pre-novices of the HHCJ.
In an interview with the Sister Communicators Network -Ghana, Sr. Prah shared her experiences as a Religious
Touching on how her Religious journey and profession as a nurse had been, she said. “I knew l did my best that was why I got some Awards. (Best Public Health Nurse from the District Directorate and Pro Ecclesia Pontifice from Rome through the Diocese of Obuasi after I had worked at St. Martin’s hospital for 21 years. I feel proud to be a Handmaid”
Sr. Prah further stated, “I appreciate all that the good Lord has done for me. Not to us, not to us but to God be the glory, Amen”.
She is grateful to her Congregation, her biological family and all who have helped her in diverse ways to clock this feat.
She prayed for the strength to continue to give her best to the service of God through humanity.
