It is always a very joyful moment for the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary (MSHR) across the globe, when they celebrate the birth of the Redeemer, Jesus Christ, as it gives them the opportunity to be together, out of their busy ministries, and be more present to one another.
The year 2024 was not an exception. Prior to Christmas, the Holy Rosary Sisters had joined the rest of the Priests and Religious of the Vicariate in an Advent Recollection, to prepare themselves spiritually for the Christmas festivities, aside from their own individual preparations.
They had also gone out to share gifts with other Women Religious communities, as well as some friends and neighbours, together with their co-workers, as an expression of the Christmas joy.
They had also spent time a day to Christmas on the physical preparation, including cleaning, making the Altar, preparing the Crib and the Christmas Tree, among others.
The Sisters joined the faithful of the St. Francis Xavier Cathedral for the Vigil as well as the Christmas Day Mass and it was all joy, which culminated in the Vespers for the day in the Community Chapel, accompanied by some Christmas hymns.
The Sisters of Asikasu – Donkorkrom community were more joyous in the company of their Regional Leader, Sr. Nkechi Oraebosi Caroline, MSHR, who had come from Amankwakrom to join them for the celebration, as well as two young women aspiring to the Congregation, who had come visiting: Immaculee Tagali and Dotse Precious, who arrived a day after Christmas.
