A Divine Word Missionary Priest working in Ghana has charged Sisters being trained in Media and Communications to taste the bread of life and share God’s benevolence as they go around evangelizing through the media.

Rev. Fr. Nellas Dionisio, SVD, the Director of the SVD Guest House in Accra said this at a Mass on Sunday, July 28, 2024.

The Sister Communicators coming from ten Women Religious Congregations in Ghana were in Accra for a three-day Media and Communications  training from Friday, July 26 to Sunday, 28, 2024 at the Holy Spirit Cathedral.

The training is part of an ongoing funded project by the Hilton Foundation for  20  Sisters selected from ten Religious Congregations. They are Sisters of Mary Mother of the Church (SMMC), Sisters of the Incarnate Word (SVI), Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus (HHCJ), Daughters of the Most Holy Trinity (FST) and Sisters of Mary Immaculate (SMI). The others are, Missionary Sisters of Holy Rosary (MSHR), Society of Infant Jesus (SIJ), Notre Dame de l’Eglise (NDE), Sisters of St Louis (SSL) and Handmaids of the Divine Redeemer (HDR).

During the Mass, Fr. Dionisio, SVD, highlighted the significance of food in our daily lives, saying that “just as our bodies need nourishment to function optimally, our spirits require the ‘bread of life’ to flourish.”

The SVD Priest also reflected on God’s boundless benevolence and mercy, encouraging the congregation to emulate these qualities in their own lives.

He reminded them of the importance of treating others with kindness, compassion, and generosity, not only towards friends and family but also towards strangers, embodying the values of mercy and goodness.
