Do what Andrew did

John 6: 1-15

In the scriptural passage. So many people followed Jesus and his disciples. They obviously were tired and hungry and Jesus asked his disciples to get them something to eat. The disciples didn’t know how and they certainly didn’t have anything either. There was on the other hand a young boy who had something small for himself and maybe a few others. It was good Andrew set eyes on him and knew what he carried although simple.

Can you and I do what Andrew did? Andrew brought out the best in the young boy. He did not despise the boy he brought him to Jesus.  He accepted him for what he had and who he was.

We can’t do it all, have it all or know it all. That is how we have been made, limited in what we can do and offer yet the best part is that there are people He (God) brings our way. They may be insignificant and what they carry may be little but bring them to God, and see what God will do with them.  Do not despise anyone. Learn to bring out the best in others.

A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.
