Two Sisters of the Congregation of the Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus (HHCJ) have been celebrated for their outstanding commitment to God and the people of Ghana.
On the evening of March 7, 2026, the Akasima Multimedia Team, presented Sr. Judith Magbity, HHCJ, the Provincial Superior, of the Congregation of the Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus with an Award of Excellence as a Nursing Administrator at Pomaa Hostel, Berekum.

Sr. Judith has been a pillar of the healthcare community, blending professional leadership with a mother’s heart.
She is known for ensuring that every patient is treated with deep compassion, proving that her role as a Handmaid is about bringing a healing touch to those in need.
On March 8, at the Catholic University of Ghana (CUG), Fiapre, Sr. Priscilla Dery, HHCJ, was also presented with a Long Service Award.

This honour recognises her many years of and faithful service within the University community.
Sr. Priscilla has been a constant source of guidance for both students and staff, showing that true impact comes from a lifetime of loyalty and a quiet, prayerful presence.

Together, these two Sisters have worked their hearts out for the people of God and have lived out their mission as Handmaids by putting the needs of others first.
Their recognitions by both the Holy Family Hospital and the Catholic University serve as a beautiful witness to the profound difference a life of humble service can make in the lives of many.
