Born on 22nd February 1978 in Nkwanta her life journey reflects a beautiful blend of spiritual calling and a heart for the vulnerable.
Her vocation to religious life was awakened in the early part of 1995, when a documentary on St. Mother Teresa’s tireless service to the poor stirred something profound in her spirit. Deeply moved by what she saw, young Serwah resolved to dedicate her life to serving the marginalized, just as Mother Teresa had done. That inspiration led her to enter the Postulancy of the Sisters of Mary Mother of the Church (SMMC) in September 1996, shortly after completing her studies at St. Agatha’s Commercial College.

• At St. Anthony’s Hospital, Dzodze, she worked for 19 years as an Accountant.
• She was the first Head of Finance at Cuniberto Clinic and Maternity Home in Lume.
• She later became Financial Administrator for the SMMC congregation.
• Currently, she serves as Internal Auditor at Margaret Marquart Catholic Hospital, Kpando.
• In addition, she serves as the Migrants and Refugees Coordinator and Project Coordinator for the SMMC, advocating for and supporting displaced individuals, Victims of Human Trafficking, and vulnerable populations.
Her educational background speaks to her dedication to excellence and leadership:
• BSc in Accounting, University of Professional Studies, Accra (2013)
• Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration, GIMPA, Accra (2016)
• MBA in Project Management, GIMPA, Accra (2018)
• Certificate in Policy Development and Advocacy for Global Health, University of Washington (2020)
• Graduate Diploma in Pastoral Care and Human Mobility, Scalabrini International Migration Institute SIMI Rome (2023)

Known by her peers for being jovial and highly adaptable, she brings warmth and approachability to every role she takes on. Yet beneath that cheerful disposition lies a deep inner resolve—once convinced of what is right, she stands firm in her decisions and values, guided by both her conscience and faith.
Her 25 year journey in consecrated life is a testimony to steadfast faith, service, and vision. Sr. Mary-Consolata continues to embody the charism of her congregation by nurturing the Church and society through tireless service, especially to the poor and displaced.
