As she marks 25 years of Consecrated Life life, we pause to honour not just the milestone—but the mission, the memories, and the many lives she’s touched along the way.
Her journey is not just counted in years, but in hearts uplifted, burdens shared, and hope rekindled. Here’s to a woman whose vocation continues to inspire, challenge, and bless us all.
*SPIRITUAL JOURNEY*
Sr. Ankamah joined the Institute of the Sisters of Mary Mother of the Church in 1996 and has made significant milestones in her spiritual journey: First profession of vows: August 15, 2000. Perpetual profession of vows: August 15, 2009.
She served as the Vocation Directress for SMMC for 8 years, bringing on board numerous girls into the Institute.
*EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL PROFILE*
Sr. Ankamah holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, Koforidua Polytechnic; a Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Management, Methodist University College, Accra, and worked as Senior Procurement Manager at the Sacred Heart Catholic Hospital, Abor in the Keta-Akatsi Diocese for several years, and was later transferred to Mater Ecclesiae Catholic Hospital, Sokode-Gbogame till date.
Sr. Cynthia Ekua Veronica Ankamah, SMMC, is a dedicated Senior Procurement Manager at the Mater Ecclesiae Catholic Hospital in Sokode Gbogame. She hails from Teteman-Buem, Jasikan Diocese of the Jasikan District in the Oti Region.
She is the third child of six siblings. With a strong educational background in Procurement and Supply Management, Sr. Ankamah has demonstrated expertise in her field.
To the glory of God, with six others —Srs. Evelyn Afriyie, Elizabeth Liberty Setorwu, Victoria Osorade, Mary-Consolata Serwah Ntenye, Lucy Pitapi, and Georgina Kpeglo —this class celebrates its 25th anniversary of consecration to God.
Despite the challenges of Religious Life today, Sr. Ankamah remains committed to her faith and profession. Her aspiration is to inspire young girls to consider joining the Institute and promote its values and mission.
