The Bishop Congratulated the Sisters for holding on for these years to their respective calls.

Praising the Sisters for allowing God to pour grace upon grace on them, he urged them that, this is not the time to say I have ‘arrived’ but to do self-introspection to see if they had really and committedly carried out their call to the fullest.

He noted that much of it depends on “how you respond to the goodness sown in you just as our Sisters have responded for fifty years, twenty-five years and six years ago despite you human inadequacies.”

In his homily, he stated that “Every good thing begins with God. He’s the one who authors and, guides it.”

According to him, also “every bad thing begins with the devil, he causes the evil thing, directs until he brings destruction, pain and suffering”.

He explained that he doesn’t think we chose ourselves to be Christians just as Jeremiah didn’t choose and called himself.

Somehow God uses certain incidents in our lives to make us Christians, either one was born into a Christian home, or you followed a friend to Church.

According to Bishop Opoku Agyemang, in a very special way when God begins to sow good seed in us, He makes it so special, and it becomes an example to others.

The responsibility of one’s call, begins therefore with God and relies on him but the response of the call begins and lies on the one called said the celebrant.

Many Priests and Religious from all walks of life were present to grace the occasion.

In attendance were the Superior General of the HHCJ, Mother Germaine Ocansey, HHCJ, who received the vows of the perpetually professed; Sister Patricia Onah, HHCJ, a General Councilor to the Superior General; the Provincial Superior of Ghana Province, Sr. Christina Doggu, HHCJ.

Present at the occasion were the families of the celebrants, Friends of HHCJ and well-wishers from other places.
