According to him, “This is why the congregation has seen Sr Susan as someone with potentials and why she has been given the chance to profess her vows in the congregation.”

Fr. Asiegbu tasked Sr. Susan, who had her formation in Ghana, to make use of this privilege and to see herself lucky, having been chosen from among the lot, reminding her that “Jesus’ mission was clear, Jesus did not come because of the righteous but for the sick.”

He urged Sr. Susan not to see herself as righteous but someone God needs and wants her to work in areas that she would be sent to work.

The Claracian Priest reminded Sr. Susan of the levite who left his lucrative job and saw something higher in the call from God, urging him “See it in the same way. There’s something higher God wants you to do. Do not lose focus nor allow this to leave your mind for even one day.”

He added: “That is why you have left your country far away and to respond to the love and call of God.”

“It’s the same love that is guiding all of you sisters. This is evident in your charism of “All Embracing Charity”. Doing all for the love of God no matter the challenges,” he emphasised, saying, “It is our sacrifice to God to obey him through our Superiors.”

“We as religious should humbly obey our rules and constitution given to us. We must live by them, cherish them as our rule of life” he admonished the sisters present, stating, “Our superiors only become a connecting point to God.

In attendance at the Mass were, Fr. Samuel Saysey of Salestians of Don Bosco; Mother Germain Ocansey, HHCJ, Superior General of the Congregation of the Handmaids of the Holy Child Jesus; Sister Patricia Onah, HHCJ, General Councilor and Sr. Christiana Doggu, HHCJ, Provincial Superior, Ghana Province.
