Double the celebration, double the joy! Today, we gather not just to honor a remarkable 25 years of love and memories, but also to celebrate a milestone that marks 60 years of wisdom, laughter, and endless grace. Here’s to my incredible sister—whose journey is a beautiful blend of joy, strength, and unforgettable moments. Happy 25th anniversary and a fabulous 60th birthday!

I introduce to you today, Sr. Elizabeth Setorwu SMMC who is thankful to God for all favours through her life. In a short interview with her she recounts:

Happy 60th Birthday

“My name is Elizabeth Liberty Setorwu. I was born in Accra on 3rd April 1965.

I come from Tsiame. My father’s name is Prince Prosper Kofi Setorwu and my mother’s name is Beatrice Yawo Tsikata. I have three siblings: Antoinette Setorwu, Anthony Nehro Setorwu and Patricia Akpene Setorwu. I started my primary school in Sunyani Methodist in the year 1972 and completed middle school at Kpedze Roman Catholic in the 1982 and passed successfully. After that I entered into apprenticeship in that same year 1982 and completed in 1984.

I established myself in dress making from 1985 to 1989; trained about ten apprentices. In 1990, I entered Have Technical Institute in the Ho Diocese and completed in 1993 with my Intermediate certificate. Afterwards, I went to Ho Polytechnic in 1995 for Advanced Course in Dress making and modelling for two years and graduated successfully in 1997. I felt called to the religious life and so entered the convent in the same year 1997 at Dzelukope in the Keta- Akatsi diocese. I took the first vows in the year 2000 at Sokode Gbogame. My first community was Madonna House(2000 to 2007); Kpando ( 2007 to 2009 ); Asisi Korfe Bishop’s House (2010 to 2015 ) and back to Madonna House (2015 to 2019). Now, I have my apostolate in Dzelukope from 2019 to date..

To the glory of God with six others namely Sisters Afriyie Evelyn, Cynthia Ankama, Victoria Osrade, Mary Ntenye, Lucy Pitapi and Geogina Kpeglo, this class celebrates their 25th anniversary of consecration to God.

Her life has been inspired by this Bible verse: ” Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life” (John 6:68). Her patron saint is St. Anthony of Padua.
