Unbelief is a rejection of the truth that God offers, whether it’s through the message of the gospel, His works, or His presence in the world. It’s not just a lack of knowledge but a refusal to trust in what God has revealed. Unbelief can come from pride, fear, or a desire to hold onto one’s own way of life, but it ultimately distances a person from the fullness of God’s grace and purpose.

Sr. Gifty Anastasia Blewu, SMMC

In many ways, unbelief is a barrier to experiencing the peace, joy, and eternal life that faith in Jesus brings. It keeps us from seeing the truth that God is offering—a truth that is not just intellectual, but transformative. At its core, unbelief is not merely a doubt but a choice to remain in spiritual blindness, unaware of the greater reality God desires for us. Faith, on the other hand, opens the door to a deeper relationship with God and a life full of hope and meaning.
