He encouraged the workers to put up good behavior, and to make the presence of Christ-the-Healer being felt at the health center. “Extreme patience and punctuality should be the hallmark of the staff,” he added.

He admonished the parishioners and all the people of the adjoining communities to take full advantage of the Medical Centre.

A talk on diet was delivered by Doris Boakye, a dietician and a worker at the Archbishop Sarpong Catholic Medical Centre. She advised Ghanaians to be cautious and concerned about what they consumed. She stressed on the importance of the consumption of fruits and vegetables, not count the cost but the health benefits.

Sr. Dr. Marian Smyth Boadi, FST, (PharmD), also educated the gathering on the effects and dangers of self-medication. “Quickly, visit the hospital for proper diagnosis and prescription,” she cautioned.

As part of the activities for the opening of the Medical Centre, a free health screening was organised from December 1 to 6, 2024.
