Sr. Martina was, by nature, a dynamic leader. A force of nature, she possessed an energy that was both inspiring and transformative.
To be in her presence was to be challenged, to be awakened, to strive for a deeper sense of self.
She possessed the rare gift of challenging with a core, only to follow it up with laughter that erased fear and softened the spirit.
Her leadership extended beyond words, as she served the SMI Congregation on the General Council twice, most notably as Assistant Superior General. She was a true leader.
Beyond her administrative roles, Sr. Martina was a gifted formator, shaping not just the skills, but the very character of those under her guidance. With patience and a gentle, yet firm, hand, she guided countless sisters, shaping them into women of unwavering faith and dedication.
From the classroom to the headmistress’s office, she embodied the very essence of teaching. Whether as a teacher or as Headmistress of a Senior High School, she instilled within her students a love of learning and a deeper understanding of what it means to be human. Teachers and students alike witnessed a life lived in service, a life dedicated to the vows, and a life lived with unwavering belief.
Her understanding of the human condition extended to her role as a psychologist. She listened beyond words, offering solace and reminding those who sought her counsel.
As a Headmistress, Sr. Martina grasped the true essence of leadership. She understood that responsibility lay not only in the title, but in the stewardship of those in her care.
She maintained a delicate balance of integrity and order, fostering discipline, academic excellence, and transparency. Her success was a direct result of her unwavering commitment to serving the people her administration was meant to support.
Sr. Martina was a woman of initiative, not one to wait for things to happen, but to take charge and make them happen. She was a visionary, planning and preparing for the future.
Her dedication, her love, and her fulfillment as a religious of the Sisters of Mary Immaculate (SMI) Congregation were undeniable.
Sr. Martina Naameh was a shining example of God’s unwavering faithfulness, a testament that will forever inspire.
