The Sisters of St. Louis ( SSL) Ghana Region began their annual renewal course on August 18, ,2026 at the St. Louis Jubilee School, Oduom, Kumasi in the Ashanti region of Ghana.
Every year in August, the Sisters meet for this all important course. It is a time to pray, learn and fraternize with one another.
The day began with the arrival of the sisters from their various communities to Kumasi.

All the Sisters gathered at the St. Louis Julilee School for the opening Ceremony and prayer. Sisters were put in groups of three to share with one another how they were faring.
The prayer was led by Srs. Veronica Buah and Beatrice Venyellu, members of the Therese Brek Community at Pramso in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

Before the prayer, Sr. Veronica Buah explained the items on the centerpiece. There was a candle which represents the light of Christ with us, the crucifix reminds us of the Christ who died to save us, the Bible represents the word of God.
The flower on the centerpiece means we are united with nature, and our constitution represents who we are, our identity as Sisters of St. Louis.

The prayer began with the invocation of the Holy Spirit through a hymn and a prayer to ask for insight as we begin the renewal course.
The hymn was followed by a psalm, a scripture reading, short reflection and intercessory prayers for the Institute of the Sisters of St. Louis worldwide, our Central and Regional leadership team, a successful renewal course, Vocations and the dead.

The day ended with Salve Regina, with the assurance that our mother Mary would always intercede for us.
May the good Lord be with us as we continue this important exercise.
