As part of the just ended media training at the Centre for Spiritual Renewal, Santasi, the Sister Communicators in Ghana on August 1, 2026 took to the practical aspects of all that they have studied in cinematography.
This includes picture taking, video making, photo and video editing, audio mixing, interviewing, live streaming and social media skills.
The facilitator; Mr. Derrick Attistsogbui Klu took the Sisters through how to take good and clear pictures by getting the right setting of the aperture, which controls how much light comes in and how much is in focus, the ISO which controls how sensitive the camera is to light and the shutter speed which is responsible for motion and brightness.

All Sisters were able to set their cameras and demonstrated their photography skills.
Sisters then set their cameras for video making.
This helped Sisters a lot during their interviewing session as sisters put their video making and photo taking skills to use. Sisters were put into groups with each group having their crew which is made up of the host, panel, producer, director, videographers, photographers, editors, costume.
Sisters really brought their talents to this session that our facilitators were so impressed and commended the Sisters for a good work done.

The facilitator later took Sisters through photo and video editing skills which helped sisters edited the photos and videos taken. We then took to audio-mixing where sisters were taught how to make voice overs, put audio and music together to blend well so that while the voice is playing you can hear the music in the background.
Mr. Robert Dela Mawuenyegah one of the facilitators from Global Newswatch Media and Communications encouraged the Sisters to be active in their various congregations and dioceses.
He added that it is their duty to tell their own story and that of the Church.

He also made us understand that communication is linked to development. It is when we tell your story that people will know what we are doing and be interested and come to our aid.
It has been a fruitful day of learning and working together as Sister Communicators to bring out our talents in photography and videography and the use of the Social Media.
