The Ghana Education Service, Catholic Education Unit and the Sacred Heart Senior High School, Nsoatre, organised a befitting retirement thanksgiving Mass and send-off ceremony in honour of their wonderful and dedicated servant of God, Sr. Benedicta Uchechukwu Uzokwe, HHCJ.
Sr. Benedicta served God and humanity in the field of education for thirty-five years, including seventeen years as Headmistress of the great institution known as Sacred Heart Senior High School, Nsoatre in the Sunyani Diocese.

It was truly a great occasion, held on Friday, August 7, 2026, with thousands of people in attendance. The ceremony began with a Holy Mass officiated by Very Rev. Fr. Thomas Oppong Febiri, the Vicar General of the Catholic Diocese of Sunyani, together with more than twenty other Priests and numerous Religious persons.
Many other people were also in attendance, including government officials, traditional rulers, parents, old students, present students, family members who travelled all the way from Nigeria, friends and well-wishers.Many individuals and groups delivered goodwill messages in recognition of the remarkable work of this humble handmaid of God and her contribution to the school and other associations to which she belonged.

Among the dignitaries present were the Vicar General who represented the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sunyani; Most Rev. Peter Kwasi Sarpong, Emeritus Archbishop of Kumasi, represented by his Secretary, Rev. Fr. Rexford Akesse Mensah Kum; and Regional Manager (Catholic Education Unit, Mr. Peter Kumi.

Also present were some members of the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS); Association of Catholic Heads of High Institutions (ACHHI); Nigerians Catholic Missionaries (NICAM) Ghana and many others.It was indeed a very memorable and successful occasion.
