The Management Team of the Catholic Sister Communicators Network (CASCON) Ghana has been commended for its foresight and commitment to strengthening the communication ministry of Catholic Sisters through a comprehensive media training programme for Sister Pioneers and newly appointed Sister Communicators.
The training being held at the Centre for Spiritual Renewal, Santasi, Kumasi, which brought together participants from various congregations, equipped the Sisters with practical skills in photography, videography, digital media, website management, podcasting, storytelling, and other contemporary communication tools.
The programme being held from July 29 to August 2, 2026 was designed to prepare Women Religious to communicate the Gospel more effectively in today’s rapidly evolving digital world.
A major highlight of the programme was the presentation of cameras and CASCON media jackets to all participants.

The equipment and branded jackets are expected to support the Sisters in applying the knowledge and skills acquired during the training as they document and share the stories of their congregations and ministries.
The participants described the gesture as a strong demonstration of CASCON Ghana’s confidence in their mission and its commitment to equipping Catholic Sisters with the resources needed to serve as professional and effective communicators.

The training and the provision of the cameras and vests were made possible through the generous support of the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, whose investment continues to strengthen the communication capacity of Women Religious in Ghana.
Participants expressed profound appreciation to the Foundation for partnering with CASCON Ghana to make the initiative a reality.
Beyond the technical skills gained, the programme fostered collaboration, creativity, and a renewed commitment among the Sisters to use modern communication platforms responsibly in proclaiming the Gospel and sharing stories of faith, hope, and service.

As the training is ongoing, participants have expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Management Team of CASCON Ghana for its visionary leadership and dedication to building a vibrant network of Catholic Sister Communicators.
They also thanked the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation for its invaluable support, noting that the impact of the programme will extend far beyond the training room, benefiting their congregations, the Church, and the communities they serve.
The initiative marks another significant milestone in CASCON Ghana’s mission to empower Catholic Sisters to become competent, confident, and impactful communicators in service of the Gospel.
