Catholic Sister Communicators Network in Ghana Donates Cameras, Media Jackets to Members

The Catholic Sister Communicators Network, Ghana (CASCON) through the support of Hilton Foundation based in the United States has donated Canon Cameras to 22 Women Religious Congregations in the West Africa country as well as customised media jackets to its members to enhance their media and communications works.

The presentation of the cameras and jackets were made on Thursday, July 30, 2026 during a three-day Media and Communications training at the Centre for Spiritual Renewal in Kumasi aimed at equipping about 40 Sister Communicators sharpen their skills as well as the jackets help them identify as Sister Communicators wherever they were.

Making the presentation, Sr. Emmanuella Dakurah, HHCJ, Director of CASCON-GH urged the Sister Communicators to make good use of the cameras and jackets and ensure they used them to work to project the activities of their congregations through news writing and story telling.

She noted that the cameras were also donated to the various Congregations present at the training to aid them to capture every moment, write stories to promote the CASCON-GH brand.

As part of the media training, the Sister Communicators were lectured on how to handle the cameras and how to use them for quality pictures and videos.

The good handling of the cameras would go a long way to support the Sisters capture the moments for effective and easy communication.

Mr. Derrick Attitsogbui Klu, a seasoned Media Entrepreneur encouraged to use these gadgets responsibly and for purpose for which they were donated as a sign of appreciation to the management team of CASCON-GH for such a great initiative and kind gesture.

As part of the training, the Sisters were tutored on exploring website management and ethics and how to make simple flyers for different purposes with the use of AI.
